If your school is planning for a future in which carbon emissions are regulated and restricted (which it should be!), then you will want to understand what may be coming down the pipe as far as legislation goes.
Holmes Hummel, a Congressional Science Fellow on Capitol Hill, recently compiled a handy primer on carbon policy for “the curious and the concerned.” It uses a great analogy (musical chairs) to make complicated-sounding mechanisms like “carbon cap and trade” easy to understand. Check it out
